Celebrating Prevention and Community at the Diabetes Victoria Impact Awards 2025
We are deeply honoured to share that Exercise for Rehabilitation & Health has received two prestigious recognitions at the Diabetes Victoria Impact Awards 2025.
Our director, Nicole French, was named the first-ever Prevention Leader Award recipient, and our lead researcher, Associate Professor Ralph Audehm, received the Outstanding Contribution Award, a prestigious honour recognising his substantial impact across Victoria.
These awards represent far more than individual achievement. They reflect our team's collective dedication to improving health outcomes through evidence-based prevention, our clients' courage in prioritising their wellbeing, and the strength of the partnerships we've built across Victoria's healthcare community.
The awards ceremony brought together Diabetes Victoria's community of dedicated health professionals, as well as including members of parliament including Shadow Health Minister Georgie Crozier MP and Gaelle Broad MP, highlighting the political importance of diabetes prevention in Victoria's health strategy.
We are deeply committed to making a positive impact on the health outcomes of all Australians, particularly in addressing our growing challenges with obesity and diabetes. These awards inspire us to continue pushing boundaries in prevention, management, and achieving remission through evidence-based practice.
We'll keep showing up with evidence-based care that never forgets the human element, and keep championing prevention as the powerful tool it is.
Here's to continuing the journey with compassion, courage, and community at the heart of everything!
